Operating Principle
|
Diffusion Dialysis with Anion Exchange Membrane: Microscopically, the surface of the anion exchange membrane is equipped with uniformly distributed positively charged polymer functional groups. This structure allows anions (acid radical ions) to pass through rapidly, while positively charged metal ions with large molecular weight can hardly penetrate the membrane. Meanwhile, hydrogen ions feature a single charge and extremely small molecular weight, enabling them to pass through the anion exchange membrane. Consequently, acid permeates through the membrane while metal ions are effectively intercepted. |
